I did something that I did not think I would be able to do.
I got was able to create a new admin profile on Windows 7. In the past I have had issues with Windows 7 “losing” my profiles when updates are pushed. I am not sure why. No other OS or version of Windows has done this.
This time it “lost” the only admin profile on the machine. The Admin password is lost to us as well. I have been using the guest profile to do several daily activities, such as posting on the blog. The guest account cannot run several programs, and not knowing the admin password, I was unable to do much.
I fixed it! Using the safe mode and the command console (and help from the internet) I was able to establish a new admin user, set its password. Then use that password to create a real admin account. I was so happy.
It did take about two hours to move stuff from the “lost” profile to the new standard user profile I created. I also had to reinstall some software that is not available to all users. But I did it!
Now that things should be back to “normal” I will be working on getting my phobia drawings up in digital format. I would like to sell a few of the drawings so I can finance getting the paintings scanned. IF people buy those I can do all kinds of cool stuff. Maybe even spend some time working on the techy side of my artsy stuff.
Here is today’s doodle. I started it yesterday. I have no clue what it is. It looks kind of neat though.
