I have some awesome plans for 2016 and into 2017. This is one of the first times I have ever planned more than a few months in advance.
It is nice to know where you are going to be and where you can go. Life in the military was challenging and I never really knew where I was going to be. Even thought I have been out of the military for almost 10 years, I am just now getting over the need to always be mobile, ready to go anywhere at the drop of a hat.
I am going to take full advantage of my established roots in 2016.
- I am going to try to get some items together and be a vendor at an art event. I was thinking Art on the Ave in Tacoma. That gives me 6 months or so to get prints together. It is also one of the cheapest events in the area, running $30-$50 for a booth space.
- Build a web store for said prints. I am not sure how I am going to go about this. I was thinking Shopify. That way I could link Pintrest AND Facebook to it. There is always Etsy and WordPress to consider. I could also build my own (I have the ability… just not the desire.)
- Make more Art. If 2015 taught me anything it is that I am happier when I am making art. I have a long list of things that I want to create in 2016. Some are going to be one of a kind things (Etsy worthy) and some will be things that I can make into prints. I plan on rounding out a few “themes” or “collections.”
- Exercise! Duh, who does not have this one. I want to be able to walk and sit without pain this year. That means improving my flexibility (so says my doctor.)
I hope that you will continue to follow my journey into 2016.
